In my  youth one spring and summer likely about 1973.  In northern New Jersey  these moths had a population  increase to the extreme.  County  workers in thier trucks would spray tons of insecticides on everything all over, stands of trees , big bushes too I suppose.  I shot shot at the moths in late summer in the evening time.  That is how I built muscle in my biceps.  I owned a Crossman 760  bb  rifle .  You would pump it up two or three times. I was the kid on the block who was put of whack.
